Electric Scooters

Need a quick way to get around, you should get an electric scooter.

We’re seeing rented electric scooters in every town, but did you know that you can buy your own foldable electric scooter? They’re a fast and eco-friendly way to get from point A to point B without walking or riding a bike.

Today, we’re going to discuss 4 of the best foldable electric scooters on the market. When shopping for them, it can be tough to discern the perks and pitfalls of one folding electric scooter from the next, but that’s why you’ve got Scooter Sleuth. Our goal is to turn the public on to scooters and hoverboard life, so you can trust us with this decision.

1. NANROBOT D4

NANROBOT is one of the finest electric scooter manufacturers out there, so we’d be remiss not to include the D4 on this list. With 2 independent motors at the back and front of the scooter, as well as all-wheel drive, you’ll coast across most surfaces comfortably and safely.

The battery is also quite powerful, giving you about 40 miles of distance at full charge. When you’re out of juice, it only takes about 3 hours to get from 0% to 100% battery, which is about as fast as you’ll see.

2. Hiboy MAX

The Hiboy MAX is convenient, fast, and lightweight. It’s got a one-fold design, so you can quickly collapse it and carry it into your house or workplace, making it one of the best models for commuting.

Its motor is about 350 watts, which can take you around 17 miles before you need a charge, good for a trip to work and back. If you’re riding at night, the headlights will give you more than enough clarity to travel safely and at 18 mph, you can get around fairly quickly.

3. MEGAWHEELS S5

Here, we have one of the sleeker models on the market, the MEGAWHEELS S5. Don’t be fooled by the compact, slender look of the S5, this thing packs a lot of power in its 250-watt motor. It also has a decent battery life compared to most scooters, taking you about 13 miles before it needs a charge.

The S5’s wheels don’t look like they could handle much but with MEGAWHEELS’s state of the art shock absorbing technology, you can take it comfortably on any terrain.

4. Glion Dolly

The Glion Dolly is one of the more affordable models on the list, making it a great alternative for the everyday commuter. Folding and unfolding are extremely easy and you can go along at around 15 mph on flat terrain. The only problem with the Dolly is that you’ll have to charge it every night to have it ready for your next commute.

It’s not as heavy-duty or high-tech as other models, but the Glion Dolly makes up for that in affordability and convenience.

Choosing Your Folding Electric Scooter

These are a few great options, but deciding on the best one depends on what you need from your folding electric scooter.

If you’re using it daily to get to and from work, then you’ll want to get the NANROBOT D4 or the Hiboy, but if you’re taking it for the odd joyride, you can get something cheaper.
